Join us in beautiful downtown Oxford, North Carolina as we embrace and celebrate the cultures of countries from around the World! Come out and plan to spend the day, experiencing a ton of foods, artisans, entertainers and hands on demonstrations.
From the time you arrive in the morning, you'll be entertained by some of the best performers around, each representing a different culture. There will be LOTS of food trucks from many countries and cultures and even desserts and refreshing choices like Icees, Ice Cream and Fair Food i.e., deep fried Oreos, candy apples, cotton candy, funnel cakes and more.
The kids (or kids at heart) can choose from 4 different crafts or do them all, for FREE. Taba's Face painting and even a caricature artist (The Sketch Artist) will be on hand to help commemorate the day and create an artistic energy for everyone.
TIMING: The festival will kick off with an opening ceremony at 10:45 by The John Chavis Historical Society and St. Cyprian's drummers, welcome and prayer, so join us at the performance area between The Hub and Courthouse to get us started.
Live performances begin at 11am, see our lineup and schedule below. Food trucks will be open and our vendors will be waiting to show you their handmade, homemade or custom made wares. There will be live demonstrations giving festival goers a hands on lesson in making a Mexican delicacy, how to forge a wrought iron double hook with Blue Wolf Wood and Iron, get an education on beekeeping and pollination while purchasing delicious local honey and then check out the moves of our resident martial arts experts. The festival runs until 4pm with our last performer taking the stage at 3:30 to close us out with some Latin music and dancing.
Bring the family and plan to spend the day, exploring, learning and eating your way through continents, countries and cultures. See you at CultureFest '24.
